Adventures to Fantasy Island and Lessons from the Surf

welcome-to-fantasy-island

I just got back from a fantastic trip to Kauai for my sister’s wedding. I’m never one to take a vacation to a tropical destination, so this was a huge new experience for me. Here are some of the highlights of the trip, including: No worries. We promise that we didn’t cause any trouble with the TSA officials. At least none that we can speak of. A beautiful beach where I learned how to scuba. I wasn’t really keen on my instructor at first. She wanted us to get used to breathing under water through our equipment. My breathe made me think of other uncomfortable situations that I have had recently (ones that we all have had), including: Necessary conversations Conflict that we try to avoid Our reaction to others bad behavior How do we normally act when we are in an uncomfortable situation? My first response is to get out of there. How about you? It was in that moment, I realized that [...]
